No New Posts Nansen Dialogue
"No realist politics in a civilised society is imaginable unless it is based on love of ones neighbour, mutuality, helpfulness and trust. This is the rock upon which all human cooperation must be built." Fridtjof Nansen (“Nestekjærlighet”, 1922)

No New Posts Dialogue principles and practices
"The story of dialogue is fundamentally a story of connection verses separation. At the heart of the story is the nature of being human. Human beings have a need to experience being fully understood by others. Yet, this need is seldom met. In this story certain elements create division: the fallibility of human perception, biological impulse, and power. Attempts to connect with others are often thwarted by negative feelings – feelings often generated by a failure to connect. Also, power gets in the way. Power can be defined in several ways..." No New Posts Reconciliation and Justice
"Reconciliation is when people in a community are free to choose their own friends without having to fear the consequences. In this understanding reconciliation is not about harmony or everyone being friends. It is instead based on the reality of conflict and accepts that conflicts may continue even when violence has ended. It is however, based on freedom. Personal freedom to choose as well as being free of the consequences and trauma of the conflict or violence. Reconciliation could be said to a process which allows people to live with conflict without violence. We might also say that reconciliation is a process where former enemies or people from different sides of violent conflicts create the possibility of a common future as a community or a nation." Lecture by Erik Cleven
